Lovely clean tones that suite me and my tele and when i want it it goes off. I play a delicate mix of power ballads and rockin country so the laney has a great blend of absolute filth and a clean crunchy sounds

I use my VH 100R - since 1997 - because it has a beautiful clean sound that sometimes reminds the old amplifiers of 60's and a lot of punch with lead channels, also an amazing gain that it sounds like if you'd get a compressor inside, and gives you "a world" of sustain in the solos

My Laneys cover a broad spectrum of tones, allowing me to play everything from heavy rock to country. As an LA session guitarist, I have to have a wide palette of tones and Laney does not disappoint. I've used them on countless commercial jingles, tv shows and films. I'll match my heads and combos with various speaker combinations to get the specific sound the producer is looking or. For recording, my current favorite amp is the TT-100, which has become a favorite among the many producers I work with here in town as well - even to the point where they'll often rent it from me to use on recordings with other bands they're producing. Take a listen to Laney amps on the latest Chasing Saints record.

I have been using Laney amps for the last 13 years. The HC50 was the second amp I ever bought, and it's been on a hell of a journey with me over the years, and it still looks brand new! I really respect that Laney don't make amps outside of the UK. Amercian guitars through British amps - the only way to go! The VC30 will kick any other combo amp around the block!

First time playing on Laney amps immediately made clear that this was the sound I was looking for for a loooong time. The punch, aggressiveness and tone without compromising the character of my guitar. Also build like a tank and proven roadworthy everytime again. Not only are the high-gain sounds great, the clean sounds are really clear and warm. I love both my amps which have a different character but together they instantly make the Wall of Sound that we need in our music.

Amps 1987 LANEY AOR 50 WATT HALF STACK

I spent years, hunting down my sound, burning through a lot of money in the process. Then, in 1989, I bought a Laney 100 watt AOR head from a friend of mine. Suddenly, I found myself with the tone I had been looking for. Years went by. During that time, I had sold all my gear and dropped out of the music scene, altogether. I jumped back in, ten years later, and found myself searching for that sound, all over again. Then, I remembered that Laney head I had, way back when, and wondered if the Laney tone was really as good as I remembered. I answered an ad for a 50 watter that someone was parting with, bought it on the spot, took it home, and there it was, same as before, the tone I was looking for! Suffice it to say that THIS Laney will NOT be leaving my hands!
